The Global Forum on MSM & HIV (MSMGF) invites you to register for the upcoming MSMGF Pre-Conference to the 2014 International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, Australia! The event will be open and free of charge to all who wish to attend. You can find the link to register by scrolling to the bottom of this webpage. Please make sure you already signed in as a member of msmgf.org before registering.
The theme of this year's event is "Setting the Pace," in recognition of the central role that gay men, other MSM, and transgender people have played in responding to HIV since the first days of the epidemic. The International AIDS Society’s call for ‘stepping up the pace’ will not be possible without our continued leadership and proactive involvement.
The pre-conference will focus on program implementation this year, with topics addressing the Global Fund's New Funding Model, persistent challenges in accessing quality HIV services, training needs of healthcare providers, community-based service provision led by MSM and transgender people, and the relationships between community systems and health systems in meeting the needs of our communities.
The MSMGF Pre-Conference will take place at the Melbourne Town Hall, located on the northeast corner of Swanston and Collins Streets in the central business district. All questions can be directed to MSMGF Operations Associate Carlos Alicea at AIDS2014@msmgf.org. Keep an eye out for updates about the Pre-Conference program and featured speakers in the coming weeks.
