INFORMATION EXCHANGE

The MSMGF views information exchange and distribution as a key tool for enhancing work for the health and human rights of sexual minority populations worldwide.  From developing dynamic information services to engaging media at the national and international level, the MSMGF works hard to ensure vital information is easily accessible to the people who need it most.

  • Discussion Forums

There are currently more than 1,200 members of the MSMGF from over 100 different countries.  MSMGF Discussion Forums in each of our seven target languages allow members of this diverse constituency to debate new ideas or broadcast important information that the media has overlooked.  The MSMGF provides professional translation of every subject heading of every thread on every MSMGF Discussion Forum, as well as several options for full-text translation, allowing members to engage in dialogue on salient issues even if they speak different languages.

  • Engaging the Media

With the ability to convey essential information to specialized audiences or the general public, the media represents a considerable tool for advocacy.  The MSMGF strategically engages members of the press by issuing targeted statements, press releases, op-eds, and other materials in an effort to begin and sustain important conversations about sexual minority issues.
